đź“‹ Overview
This guide outlines the precise operating procedure for screen switching and provides sequential
Troubleshooting steps to determine whether the issue stems from an operational oversight or a hardware failure.
🛠️ Troubleshooting & Resolution Steps
How to Correctly Switch Screens
Critical Operational Prerequisite: > The camera must NOT be actively recording. During video recording, the system locks the current screen to optimize performance and prevent accidental disruption. Screen switching is disabled while recording; this is a design specification, not a quality defect.
Enter Standby Mode: Turn on the camera and ensure it is in the live preview standby mode (no recording).
Locate the Shortcut Button: Locate the UP button on the side of the camera, or the Mode button on the front.
Trigger the Switch: Press and hold the designated button for at least 3 seconds. The rear main screen will turn off, and the front sub-screen will illuminate.
Switch Back: To return to the rear display, press and hold the same button again for 3 seconds.
Front Screen Failure Diagnosis
Step 1: Verify System Response
Observe the camera behavior carefully after holding the switching button for 3 seconds:
Scenario A (System Responds): The rear main screen successfully turns off, but the front sub-screen remains completely dead or shows only a faint backlight without graphics. Proceed to Step 2.
Scenario B (System Unresponsive): The rear main screen stays on and nothing changes. This indicates the long-press gesture was not registered, or the physical button is non-functional. Try using the alternative switching button (e.g., switch from the UP button to the Mode button) to test again.
Step 2: Perform a System Reset
If the rear screen turns off (proving the command was registered) but the front screen remains blank, a temporary firmware glitch may be the cause. Please perform a system reset:
Using the rear screen, press the Mode button to navigate to the Setup/System Settings menu.
Scroll down and select the Reset / Factory Settings option.
Confirm the reset and allow the camera to reboot automatically.
Once rebooted, re-attempt the 3-second long-press to see if the front screen responds.
✉️ After-Sales & Technical Support Options
If the front screen remains completely black or continues to display broken/glitched digits after a successful system reset, the front screen module or its internal power ribbon cable is permanently damaged.
Warranty Claim Information:
Please use a smartphone to record a short video clip shows the camera turned on (not recording), and demonstrate you holding down the switching button for 3+ seconds where the rear screen goes dark but the front screen fails to respond.
Send this video along with your proof of purchase (invoice screenshot or order number) to our Support Team for an expedited warranty service.
