While the Brave 7 LE is engineered with professional water resistance, unexpected water ingress can occasionally happen due to wear and tear, unsealed covers, or exceeding depth limits.
If your camera was used in water without its waterproof case and is now malfunctioning or refusing to power on, please follow this emergency recovery guide immediately.
Phase 1: Emergency Dry-Out Procedure
If your camera has taken on moisture, do not attempt to turn it on repeatedly, as this can cause a short circuit on the mainboard. Follow these steps to dry it out safely:
Power Down & Strip Down: Immediately turn off the camera. Open the battery door and USB cover. Remove the battery, MicroSD card, and USB cables. Leave all compartment doors open.
-
The Moisture-Absorbing Method: Place the camera in a dry, warm environment to allow the moisture to evaporate.
Pro-Tip: If you have uncooked rice or silica gel packets at home, bury the camera inside a sealed container filled with rice or silica gel. This will help draw out the internal moisture much faster.
The 48-Hour Wait: Leave the camera to dry completely for 1–2 days. Do not shake the camera or use a hot hair dryer, as this can push water deeper into the components.
The Power Test: After 48 hours, leave the battery out, plug the camera directly into a USB wall charger, and try to power it on.
If it turns on: Congratulations! Your camera has dried out successfully. Let it run for a bit, then reinsert a fully dried battery to test.
If it still fails to turn on: The internal components may have suffered water damage. Please move to the next step to contact our support team.
Phase 2: Contacting Support for Evaluation
If the dry-out procedure does not resolve the issue, please take a short video showing the camera failing to boot up while connected to the USB cable.
Reach out to our customer support team with this video and your original order details. We will review your case in accordance with our warranty policies and product usage guidelines to determine what alternative solutions or service options are available to you.
