What should I do when my camera freezes?
If your camera turn off automatically, you can check if the problem can be solved from the following angles.
1. Setting Reasons
1.1 You may have turned on the automatic shutdown function: the camera will shut down automatically after 3 minutes of no operation, please turn off the automatic shutdown function.
1.2 You may not have turned on the loop recording function: If you have not turned on this function, the camera will stop recording when the memory card is full, and the camera will shut down automatically after 3 minutes of no operation, please make sure that the SD card memory is free or turn on the loop recording function.
2.Memory Card Reasons
You may be using an SD card that does not meet the usage standards. During the process of recording with an SD card that does not meet the usage standards, the recording may stop automatically because the SD card does not meet the recording requirements, which you can confirm from the following points:
2.1 Please confirm whether the SD card you are using is incompatible: we recommend that you use a brand new SD card that meets the specifications - U3 grade, brand-new SD card within the rated memory.
2.2 Please check if the SD card is not available:
2.2.1 Insufficient SD card memory: If your SD card is too full and you have not turned on the loop recording function, the camera will automatically stop recording when the memory card is full, and the camera will automatically shut down if there is no operation within 3 minutes, please make sure that the SD card has enough memory and turn on the loop recording function.
2.2.2 Physical damage of SD card: When your SD card is damaged, the camera will shut down automatically because the SD card is not available, you can use the SD card in other devices to confirm whether it is damaged, if you confirm that the SD card is damaged, we recommend that you use a brand new SD card that meets the specifications - U3 grade, brand-new SD card within the rated memory.
3.Overheating Protection Function Reasons
If you record high resolution video (e.g. 4K/30fps/60fps) for a long period of time or if the ambient temperature is too high (more than 40°C), the camera's overheating protection function may be triggered, and the camera will shut down automatically.
Improvement Options:
3.1 It is recommended that you suspend the use of the camera and place it in a cool place to cool down for more than 10 minutes before using it.
3.2 Avoid direct sunlight and shooting in hot environments.
3.3 Reduce the shooting resolution (e.g. to 1080p) to reduce the heat generated by the camera itself.
4. Battery Reasons
4.1 It may be that the camera is low on power, high resolution (e.g. 4K) or low temperature environment will accelerate the power consumption, the power will automatically shut down when the power is exhausted, please charge the camera.
4.2 It may be charging abnormality, if the USB port power supply is insufficient, the charging cable is damaged or the battery terminal is dirty (such as fingerprints, dust) may lead to charging failure. You can use a dry cloth with alcohol to clean the terminals (contacts) and replace the charging device to test whether it is a charging abnormality.
4.3 The battery may be aging, the capacity of the battery will decrease after long-term use, even if it is fully charged, the use time may be abnormal. It is recommended that you replace the original battery.
