How to Use the Helmet Mount for Your AKASO Camera?

🧼 Step 1: Surface Preparation

(The MOST crucial step)

1. Clean:

• Wipe helmet surface with isopropyl alcohol
• Remove all dust/oils → Dry completely

2. Mark Position:

• Top center = Best balance
• Side mount = Max 5cm from edge

📌 Step 2: Mount Application

Choose your method:

🔴 Adhesive Mount

1. Peel adhesive backing → Avoid touching sticky surface
2. Align precisely → Press firmly for 30 SECONDS
3. Cure Time:

• 24hrs at room temperature (21°C/70°F)
• 48hrs if <15°C (59°F)

🔵 Strap Mount 

1. Thread straps through helmet vents
2. Buckle tightly → Trim excess strap
3. Attach the mount base to the strap platform

🛡️ Pro Safety Practices

1. Dual Attachment:

• Use safety tether through camera's lanyard hole
• Secure to chin strap

1. Pre-Ride Checklist:

✅ No adhesive ooze at edges  
   ✅ No strap fraying  
   ✅ Mount resists twisting force  
   ✅ Camera doesn't vibrate when shaking head  

🔧 Troubleshooting

If mount loosens:

1. Adhesive Type:

• Clean residue
• Apply new 3M VHB tape

2. Strap Type:

• Tighten tension screws
• Replace worn straps
