The AKASO action camera is equipped with a lithium-ion battery. When properly operated during first-time use, the battery's charge indicator can be effectively calibrated, and its recharge cycle lifespan can be extended. Please refer to the instructions below for the specific steps.
I. First Use Operation Process
- Install the battery: Correctly insert the lithium battery into the camera's battery compartment, ensure the battery contacts are in good contact with the camera's contacts, and close the battery compartment cover.
- Full discharge: Turn on the camera power, keep the camera in normal working state (can take photos and preview normally) until the camera automatically shuts down due to low power. This process is natural full discharge, do not force interruption.
- Charging operation: Connect the original charger to the power supply, then connect the battery to the charger. Observe the charger indicator light during charging until the indicator light turns to full state (usually green) to ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Normal use: After fully charged, disconnect the charger, insert the battery into the camera and use it normally to complete the first use calibration.
II. Notes
- Discharge note: The first discharge must be naturally exhausted. Do not force discharge through short circuit, high temperature and other illegal methods to avoid damaging the battery.
- Charging note: Must use the original camera charger. Do not use non-original or inferior chargers, which may cause battery bulging, leakage or damage.
- Temperature requirement: During charging and discharging, avoid the battery being in an extreme temperature environment (below 0℃ or above 45℃), otherwise it will affect the battery performance and service life.
- Daily maintenance: After the first calibration, there is no need to fully discharge again during daily use. It is recommended to charge in time when the remaining power is 20%-30% to avoid over-discharge; when not in use for a long time, charge the battery to about 50% power and store it in a dry and cool place.
Abnormal handling: If the battery has abnormal conditions such as bulging, leakage, heating, or peculiar smell, stop using it immediately, disconnect the power supply, contact official after-sales service for processing, and do not disassemble it yourself.
