Summary
This guide covers the official troubleshooting and warranty claim procedures for various physical components of the Brave 8/Brave 8 Lite (SD card slot, battery cover, USB cover, internal prongs, physical buttons) in case of cracks, loose parts, or physical functional loss.
Component Guides & Service Policies
1. SD Card Slot Damage or Deformation
Issue: The slot spring fails, or the metal clip is bent/loose, preventing it from holding the SD card.
Policy: Please provide a clear photo of the damaged slot and your Order ID to apply for warranty service.
2. Battery Cover Broken
Issue: This is often due to tight brand-new latches or incorrect angles of force.
Policy: Due to the camera's unibody structure, individual battery door replacements are not supported. A broken hatch ruins waterproof capabilities. Please take a photo of the area and provide your Order ID.
3. Internal Metal Prongs Detached
Issue: This severe internal failure completely cuts battery power.
Policy: Please take a clear, front-facing photo of the inner battery compartment contacts and the order number for a full warranty exchange.
4. USB Interface Cover Damaged/Detached
Policy: This part can be replaced separately. Please contact support with your Order ID and shipping address to receive further warranty service.
5. Physical Button Damage (Detached/Unresponsive)
Button Detached or Completely Dead (Short/Long Press Both Fail): The button module cannot actuate the internal switch. Individual button housing replacements are not supported. Take a photo/video of the button and submit your Order ID for a warranty claim.
Short Press Works, Long Press Fails: This indicates the physical switch is intact; the lack of long-press response is a firmware lockup. Try a Factory Reset via settings. If unresolved, contact support with your Order ID for a manual firmware reinstall package.
