Before You Start
- Download and install the AKASO GO app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Or you can download the APP from here: https://akasotech.com/downloads
- Ensure your camera’s battery is sufficiently charged.
This guide will walk you through the steps to connect your AKASO Brave 4 Pro camera to your smartphone using the AKASO GO app for remote control, live preview, and file transfer.
Here is the video you can refer to connect:
Important Note: For a successful connection, please allow the AKASO GO app to access your Location (GPS) and Local Network when prompted by your phone. This is a common requirement for apps that communicate with wireless devices.
Step-by-Step Connection Guide
1. Turn on Wi-Fi on Your Brave 4 Pro
- Power on your camera.
- Tap the Mode icon at the bottom of the touch screen.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn on Wi-Fi.
- The camera screen will display the Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and password. The default password is
1234567890.
2. Connect Your Smartphone to the Camera’s Wi-Fi
- Open your phone’s Settings and go to the Wi-Fi menu.
- Find the Wi-Fi network named AKASO-Brave4Pro-XX-XXXX in the list and tap it.
- Enter the password
1234567890when prompted. - Note: A “No Internet Connection” or “Weak Security” warning may appear. This is normal because the camera’s Wi-Fi replaces your phone’s internet connection. You can ignore this warning and proceed.
3. Connect in the AKASO GO App
- Open the AKASO GO app on your smartphone.
- Tap Device → Add Device.
- Select Brave 4 Pro from the list.
- Check the box that says “The above operation has been confirmed” and tap Live Preview.
Your camera is now connected to the AKASO GO App.
Using the App
Once connected, you can:
- Live Preview: See what your camera sees in real time.
- Control Shooting: Take photos or start/stop video recording remotely.
- Adjust Settings: Change resolution, mode, and other camera settings.
- View and Download: Access your camera’s media and save files directly to your phone.
Turning Off Wi-Fi
To disconnect and turn off Wi-Fi:
- On the camera, tap the X icon on the Wi-Fi screen, or press the OK/Shutter button.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Cannot find the Wi-Fi network? Make sure the Wi-Fi icon is displayed on your camera’s screen. If not, repeat Step 1.
- App fails to connect? Confirm your phone is connected to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and not a different network.
- Unable to download photos/videos to iPhone? Go to your phone’s Settings → Privacy → Photos, find AKASO GO, and select All Photos.
- Do not interrupt the download process: Avoid altering Wi-Fi settings or closing the app while transferring files.

Hi , i have a bRave 4 pro and downloaded the Akaso App for my galaxy S23, i have a question for you...why I have to reconnect the cam to the app every time...? I thought it would remain in memory and it would just be enough to reactivate wifi and GPS... but no, if I turn it off and restart the app I have to redo the entire pairing procedure between the app and the cam, I also ask if the possibility of firmware upgrade is not implemented in this version.. in the various menus there is no entry, I only find a serial number.. but no upgrade button, thanks and have a nice day
