đź“‹ Overview
If plugging in a USB cable fails to illuminate any charging status LEDs and the battery power level remains unchanged, the issue lies in cable resistance, low input voltage, or a damaged USB port on the motherboard.
🛠️ Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Steps
Step 1: Cross-Testing Cables and Power Bricks
Please swap out your current USB cable and power brick. Connect the camera to a standard 5V/2.4A wall charger adapter. Do not use high-wattage laptop fast chargers or low-power computer USB ports for this test.
LED lights up and charging resumes: The original USB cable or charging brick has failed or broken internally. Replace the charging accessory.
Still no light and no charge after swapping equipment: The internal charging management chip or the physical USB port connector on the camera is broken.
Step 2: After-Sales Scenario Isolation
If the internal charging port is physically compromised, perform this crucial test: Does the camera still boot up and record video properly if you insert a pre-charged battery?
Scenario A: The camera works perfectly with a pre-charged battery. Only the USB power input trace or data pins are broken.
Note: This hardware defect will also prevent the use of an external wired USB microphone or direct computer USB file transfers.
Scenario B: The camera is completely dead, even with a charged battery and a plug. The main system power rails or the motherboard PMIC have shorted out.
If you need further after-sales assistance, please provide your order number and a short video demonstrating the charging issue to the support team.
