🔍 First Steps Before Troubleshooting
- Verify basic functionality:
- Ensure battery is properly inserted (contacts aligned)
- Confirm charger is working (test with another device)

⚠️ Scenario-Based Solutions
🛬 Hardware issue
(Possible hardware damage)
- Remove battery and SD card
- Direct USB charging:
- Connect camera directly to 5V/2A power source
- Use original AKASO USB cable
- If charging indicator lights up → Charge for 2 hours → Reinsert battery
- Still dead? → [Contact Support] with impact details
Examine the USB port for bent pins/debris. If the USB port pins are bent or missing, the camera needs to be replaced.
🔄 After Firmware Update
(Firmware corruption)
- Provide the order number and the SN code to support(Please find the SN code inside the camera battery compartment, please refer to the screenshot below.)
- Support will:
- Confirm your camera version
- Try to end the firmware for a reset
Do NOT attempt DIY firmware recovery
💧 After Underwater Use
(Moisture damage prevention)
1. DRY EXTERNALLY: - Wipe casing with microfiber cloth - Dry battery compartment thoroughly
2. ABSORB INTERNAL MOISTURE: - Place in airtight container with silica gel OR - Submerge in uncooked rice × 48 hours
3. TEST: Only power on when completely dry
⚠️ Critical: Never charge while damp!
🔋 Sudden Failure During Normal Use
(Battery/charging issue)
Battery bypass test:
- Remove battery/SD card
- Connect to 5V/2A power via USB
- If powers on → Battery is faulty
Outcome:
- Works → Use only certified 5V/2A chargers
- Fails → [Request battery replacement] (include purchase proof)
