To connect the EK7000 Pro to your smartphone via WiFi, please follow these steps:
Please download and install the AKASO GO App in the App Store or Google Play first. The AKASO GO App lets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone or tablet. Features include camera control, live preview, playback, download, and settings.
1. Turn on the camera, press and hold the Down button for three seconds to turn on Wifi. The WiFi name and password are shown on the camera screen.
2. Connect the WiFi “EK7000 Pro” and enter the password on your smartphone WLAN setting.
3. Open AKASO GO App, tap the “+” icon on the upper right corner. Add “EK7000 Pro” and click the “Live Preview”.
4. Your camera will be connected to the AKASO GO app. Images recorded by the camera will be real-time displayed on a mobile phone. You can operate it via related icons related to the software or set function parameters of the camera.
Note: Press the Power button if you want to turn off WiFi. Or you can tap the"X" to turn off the WiFi.
If you have trouble connecting to the camera's WiFi network, make sure you are entering the correct password and that your smartphone is not already connected to another WiFi network. You may also need to move closer to the camera or ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the signal.

All of that works right up until the app needs to recognize the pairing. "Live Preview" forever loops back to the wifi settings to connect to the camera...that is already connected. Checkmark is green on the iphone. Phone screen reads: "wifi is ready!". And the app can detect none of it. How do we troubleshoot the application not finding the pairing is already happening?
I've been trying for 45min, in circles, and now I get a random popup saying the simple pwd is wrong. Re-entered it, and now it's loading and won't even pretend to connect any more.
For those of you having issues, the app absolutely requires the enabling of location services or it will not allow the app to recognize the active and successful pairing.
