The AKASO GO App allows you to remotely control your EK7000 Pro action camera from your smartphone. You can preview shots, adjust settings, and transfer videos and photos directly to your phone.
Follow the steps below to connect your camera to the app.
Before You Start
- Download and install the AKASO GO app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Or you can download the APP from here: https://akasotech.com/downloads
- Ensure your camera’s battery has sufficient charge.
Step-by-Step Connection Guide
1. Turn on Wi-Fi on Your EK7000 Pro
- Power on your camera.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (Down/Wi-Fi/Settings button) to turn on Wi-Fi.
- The camera will enter Wi-Fi mode and display the Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and password within 3 seconds. The default password is
1234567890.
2. Connect Your Smartphone to the Camera’s Wi-Fi
- Open your phone’s Settings and go to the Wi-Fi menu.
- Find the Wi-Fi network named EK7000 Pro (or
AKASO-EK7000Pro-*******) in the list and tap it. - Enter the password
1234567890when prompted. - Note: A “No Internet Connection” or “Weak Security” warning may appear. This is normal because the camera’s Wi-Fi replaces your phone’s internet connection. You can ignore this warning and proceed.
3. Connect in the AKASO GO App
- Open the AKASO GO app on your smartphone.
- Tap Device → Add Device.
- Select EK7000 Pro from the list.
- Tick “The above operation has been confirmed” and tap Live Preview.
Your camera is now connected to the AKASO GO App.
Using the App
Once connected, you can:
- Live Preview: See what your camera sees in real time.
- Control Shooting: Start or stop video recording, take photos, and switch modes.
- Adjust Settings: Change resolution, enable image stabilization, and more.
- View and Download: Access your camera’s media and save files to your phone.
Turning Off Wi-Fi
To turn off Wi-Fi:
- Press the Wi-Fi button again on the Wi-Fi screen, or simply exit the Wi-Fi mode.
Note: If Wi-Fi is activated but not connected to the app within 3 minutes, it will automatically turn off. Re-activate Wi-Fi to reconnect.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Cannot find the Wi-Fi network? Make sure the Wi-Fi icon is displayed on your camera’s screen and that you have pressed and held the Wi-Fi button correctly. If the network does not appear, try turning Wi-Fi off and on again.
- App fails to connect? Confirm your phone is connected to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and not another network.
-
Unable to download videos/photos to iPhone?
- For 4K or 2.7K videos, transfer them to a computer instead (iPhone does not support downloading these via the app).
- For other files, go to your phone’s Settings → Privacy → Photos, find AKASO GO, and select All Photos.
- Do not interrupt the download process: Avoid altering Wi-Fi settings or closing the app while transferring files.

All of that works right up until the app needs to recognize the pairing. "Live Preview" forever loops back to the wifi settings to connect to the camera...that is already connected. Checkmark is green on the iphone. Phone screen reads: "wifi is ready!". And the app can detect none of it. How do we troubleshoot the application not finding the pairing is already happening?
I've been trying for 45min, in circles, and now I get a random popup saying the simple pwd is wrong. Re-entered it, and now it's loading and won't even pretend to connect any more.
For those of you having issues, the app absolutely requires the enabling of location services or it will not allow the app to recognize the active and successful pairing.
