Overview
Some iOS users may encounter wireless screen mirroring issues after updating to certain system versions. (e.g., iOS 26) Performing a local update to the latest system software on your WT50 projector will usually fix this issue. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete the local update using a USB flash drive.
Prerequisites
Storage Device Requirements: Prepare a USB flash drive, external hard drive, or card reader. Do not use a partitioned USB drive, as the device may fail to detect the
update_sd.zipfile.Power Supply: Ensure your projector is sufficiently charged or connected to a power source during the update process to prevent unexpected shutdowns.
Step-by-Step Update Guide
Step 1: Download and Prepare the Update Package
Download the Package: Contact the customer support team to obtain the latest firmware update file.
Verify File Name: Ensure the update file is strictly named
update_sd.zip. If the downloaded file has a different name, manually rename it toupdate_sd.zip.
Step 2: Transfer the File to the USB Root Directory
Insert the USB drive into your computer.
Copy and paste the
update_sd.zipfile directly into the root directory of your USB drive.Note: The root directory is the topmost level of the drive when opened—do not place the file inside any subfolders.
Step 3: Perform the Local Update
Plug the USB drive into any available USB port on the WT50 projector.
Turn on the projector and navigate to 【Settings】 from the main home screen.
Locate and select 【Local Upgrade】.
Click to start the update. The machine will automatically process the update and reboot.
Important: Do not power off the projector or remove the USB drive while the update is in progress. The device will automatically return to the home screen upon completion.
