The remote control for the AKASO V50 Elite is uniquely designed with a built-in rechargeable battery and integrated voice control capabilities. If your remote is not working or not responding, please follow the step-by-step guide below to check and test your device.
Step 1: Check the Power & Charging Status
Charge the Remote: Unlike traditional remotes that use disposable button cell batteries, this remote features a built-in lithium rechargeable battery. Please use the included Micro USB cable to charge the remote until it is fully charged.
Indicator Light Check: Press either the Photo or Video button and observe the indicator light. It should flash green. If no light appears, the remote is likely completely out of power and needs further charging.
Step 2: Test the Basic Control Functions
Turn on your V50 Elite camera. The remote control will automatically connect to the camera once the camera is powered on.
Before testing, ensure your camera is in the correct corresponding mode:
Switch the camera to Video Mode to test the Video Button.
Switch the camera to Photo Mode to test the Photo Button.
Make sure you are using the remote within the effective range of 7 meters (approx. 23 feet) from the camera.
Step 3: Troubleshooting Voice Control (Important Note)
If you are trying to use the Voice Control feature, please keep the following specific requirements in mind:
Activation: Press the Voice Control button to turn it on (the blue indicator light will flash). Long-press the button if you want to keep the voice control feature always on.
Language Limit: The camera voice recognition system supports Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian, French, Spanish, and English voice commands. It cannot recognize any other languages.
Distance & Environment: Speak clearly and directly into the remote's microphone within a close range of 20 centimeters (approx. 8 inches), and ensure your surroundings are quiet.
Commands to Try: Please use the exact phrases below:
"Action Start Video" (to start recording)
"Action Stop Shooting" (to stop recording)
"Action Photo" (to take a picture)
Still Not Working?
If the green indicator light flashes properly but the camera still doesn't respond, OR if the remote fails to light up at all after a full charge, please contact our support team.
