1. Use ONLY the Official AKASO 360 Selfie Stick
-
Why AKASO original? It has a precisely machined 1/4"-20 screw thread and a locking mechanism that matches the camera’s base. Third-party sticks often have:
- Slightly shorter/longer screws (cannot fully tighten).
- Poor rubber gaskets (loosen from vibration).
- Weak plastic joints (snap under weight or wind).
-
Warranty notice:
If you use a non-AKASO selfie stick and your camera falls, we cannot offer a free replacement or repair. Damage caused by incompatible accessories is not covered.
✅ Correct Installation Steps (with Original Stick)
- Screw in fully by hand – Turn the camera clockwise until it stops. Do not cross-thread.
- Tighten the locking ring – On AKASO 360 selfie sticks, there is a silver or black locking ring. Rotate it firmly against the camera base.
- Check for wobble – Gently try to twist the camera. If it moves at all, repeat step 2.
- Attach a safety tether (highly recommended) – Loop a strong nylon cord (or the included wrist strap) through the camera’s lanyard hole and around the handlebar or selfie stick base.
🛑 Never mount the camera by just “lightly screwing” it on. Vibration from cycling will loosen it within minutes.
2. What to Do If the Camera Falls Despite Following These Steps?
- Stop riding immediately – Do not pick up the camera while moving.
- Inspect for damage – Check lens, screen, battery door, and mounting thread.
-
Contact AKASO Support – Provide:
- Order number of the camera and selfie stick.
- Clear photos of the stick’s condition (still attached to bike? broken joint?).
- Description of the road and vibration level.
- A short video of the mounting process before the ride (if available).
We will analyze the failure cause. If it is proven to be a manufacturing defect of the AKASO stick (e.g., screw thread sheared off), we will replace both the stick and the camera free of charge.
