If your camera or battery becomes overheated, during the charging or operation of the camera, a certain degree of temperature increase is normal. If the battery is overheating, you can cease the charging process to cool it down. In the context of motion cameras, continuous operation, especially in high performance modes such as high resolution recording, can cause the battery and camera components to heat up due to increased power consumption.
Avoid using the motion camera while it is being charged. When recording in high resolution, the camera may experience a slight increase in temperature. This is because high resolution recording demands more processing power and energy, which in turn generates heat.
When recording in 4K, the camera is likely to experience a degree of heat build up. 4K recording requires significant data processing and power supply, which can lead to heat generation within the camera components.
It is advisable to turn off the motion camera once it commences overheating. Allow the camera to cool down thoroughly before resuming use. Overheating can potentially damage the camera's internal components, such as the image sensor or battery, which are crucial for the proper functioning of a motion camera.
