Before placing the camera in water, please check the following items:
Although the camera has been professionally tested for water resistance, we still recommend that you refer to the following guidelines before using it underwater.
Before submerging the camera in water, it is generally recommended to ensure that the camera's USB cover, battery cover, and lens cap are all closed. If the camera has been in use for a long time, components such as the USB cover, battery cover, and lens cap may not close properly. In motion cameras, proper closure of these parts is crucial for maintaining water tightness. Any gap or improper closure can lead to water ingress during underwater use, which may damage the internal components of the camera.
Although the camera is waterproof, dust may accumulate around the battery cover and camera cover over time. Gaps may also form at the junctions of camera parts. When the camera is used underwater, water may seep into it through these gaps, causing problems. In motion cameras, regular cleaning and inspection are necessary to prevent such issues. Dust accumulation can not only affect the water proof performance but also may cause problems with the normal operation of the camera. Please use a clean cloth to wipe off any dust from the camera's crevices.
After using the camera, check for water ingress and use a clean cloth to dry any water stains on the camera. In motion cameras, water stains left on the camera surface may contain substances that can corrode the camera body, so timely drying is essential. Although the camera is waterproof, it may rust if not dried properly.
