How to update the firmware?
Normally we don’t suggest our customers update the firmware by themselves if there is no problem with the camera. If you bought it recently, it should be the newest firmware. Some of our customers made a mistake during the update, which resulted in the camera not working.
That’s why the firmware won’t be in public.
Firmware updates generally correct bugs or add more features.
If you still want to update the firmware, please contact our Customer Support with your camera model, firmware version, and camera problems.
How to upgrade the firmware of Brave 8 or Brave 7
They upgrade the firmware through OTA. When you connect the camera through the AKASO GO app, when the camera has new firmware that needs to be updated, an update pop-up window will pop up automatically, you just need to click to upgrade the firmware.

Is there an updated firmware for the EK7000?
The one that came loaded with the camera is
KM20.0703V1STB
It doesn't work at all for time lapse operation or burst mode configuration. Everything else appears to work okay though.
