Please download and install the AKASO GO app on the App Store or Google Play first.
Or you can download the APP from here: https://www.akasotech.com/akaso_app
The AKASO GO app lets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone or
tablet. Features include camera control, live preview, playback, download, settings, and editing.
Option 1:
1. Turn on the camera, press and hold the Up button to turn on Wifi. The Wifi name
and password will be shown on the camera screen.
2. Turn on your phone’s Wi-Fi to enter the Wi-Fi settings page, find the WiFi SSID in the
list and tap on it, then enter the password 1234567890 for connection.
Warm tip: Once the camera Wi-Fi is connected, it will give you a"No Internet
Connection" or “Weak Security” notice since your phone's 4G signal is blocked. You
can ignore it and continue the app connection.
3. Open the AKASO GO APP, tap “Device”→“Add Device”, and choose “Brave 7” for
connection.
4. Tick "The above operation has been confirmed", and tap "Live Preview". Your
camera will be connected to the AKASO GO APP
Note: Press the Up button if you want to turn off the WiFi.
The Wi-Fi connection between the Brave 7 camera and your smartphone may be affected by factors such as distance, signal strength, interference, or battery life. Be sure to keep both devices within a reasonable range, avoid obstacles or sources of interference, and charge the battery as needed to ensure a stable and reliable connection.
Option 2:
1. Turn on the camera, press and hold the Up button to turn on WiFi. The WiFi name
and password will be shown on the camera screen.
2. Open the AKASO GO app, tap the “+” icon in the upper right corner to add “Brave
7”, and then tap “Live Preview”.
3. Enter the correct Wifi name of the camera and click ”Connect camera”.
4. Allow the smartphone to “Join” the Wi-Fi network of the camera.
5. Your camera will be connected to the AKASO GO app.
Please note that it is normal that the camera Wi-Fi always shows “No Internet Connection / can’t connect to the Internet” on your smartphone. Just continue to connect the camera with the app.
An action camera cannot surf the internet after connecting with a smartphone's Wi-Fi because the Wi-Fi connection is only established for transferring data between the camera and the smartphone. The Wi-Fi connection does not provide internet access to the camera, as it does not have the capability to browse the web or connect to cellular networks.
The purpose of connecting an action camera to a smartphone via Wi-Fi is to transfer media files, such as photos and videos, from the camera to the smartphone for editing or sharing on social media platforms.
Therefore, even if the smartphone has an active internet connection, the action camera will not be able to use it to browse the internet unless it has its own cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
